Everyone knows that cats are wonderful creatures, but now researchers in Spain believe cats might be able to develop their own antibodies that can neutralize COVID-19. If true, the secret to defeating COVID-19 could be as close as your nearest feline.
Negrito, a four-year-old cat, tested positive for the virus in May after its owners also contracted the disease. Serological tests performed on Negrito and another house cat, Whisky, that lived in the same home, showed that both cats had developed antibodies.
So cats could one day save the world. If they do, then the human race will owe them for life, which is no different than owing a cat in the first place.
