Cat owners like to think that cats are immune from the common health issues that plague humans. Unfortunately, just as humans can get sick, so can gets. One problem to look out for in your cat is asthma.

You can detect asthma in your cat by its wheezing, rapid breathing, or coughing. Some triggers of asthma in cats could be smoking, dust, pollen, dusty kitty litter, or even certain foods. Outdoor cats are more prone to asthma since they’re outside and exposed to more elements.

Although there’s no cure for asthma, you can treat it by removing potential allergens along with feeding your cat a healthy diet. Hopefully you can relieve your cat of its asthma effects so your cat can spend more time wrecking your home instead.
