In Woodland Hills, just outside of Los Angeles, a homeowner and a cat got a fright when a coyote came in through the dog door and entered the house. The cat immediately started hissing, which woke the homeowner up.
The coyote retreated through the dog door, but whether it was more afraid of the homeowner or the cat remains to be seen. Still, if you live where coyotes live, keep an eye on your cat. Keep your cat indoors and make sure you lock any dog doors to keep coyotes from getting inside.
