Today you can buy an Apple Watch and walk out the door within minutes. However, back in 2015 when Apple first introduced the Apple Watch, people had to wait for them to arrive. This made wearing an Apple Watch an even bigger status symbol because it was so rare.

Needless to say, when most people got their Apple Watch, they immediately put it on their cat, took pictures, and shared those pictures on the Internet. The idea was to show everyone that cats were on the cutting edge of technology and that if you didn’t have an Apple Watch, you could at least rest assured that someone’s cat did.
