When Kris Stewart of Vancouver lost her Ragdoll cat, Bear, she thought about getting another cat. But then she decided she wanted Bear back and decided to buy a clone of Bear instead from a company called ViaGen.

For $50,000, ViaGen cloned Bear and Kris received two kittens from Bear’s original DNA. Kris says the kittens even act like the original Bear. Of course, if you’ve recently lost a cat, consider adopting a cat in a shelter so that way you can save $50,000 and save a cat that needs a home.
