Many cats prefer to stay inside their homes but a hardy few cat breeds not only thrive in the outdoors but love being outside. If you want a cat that you can walk around the block or simply accompany you when you explore, you might want a cat breed that likes going outside.
Some of these cat breeds, Bengal, Norwegian Forest Cat, and Korat, all possess traits that make it especially useful for going outdoors. Some of these cats possess thick fur coats to withstand weather while others possess higher than average intelligence, allowing them to find their way back home.
Still, it’s best if you keep your cat supervised even when outdoors for safety reasons. But if you enjoy cats that like going outside as much as you do, consider getting a breed of cat that won’t shy away from the wilderness.
