Although most cats despise water, there are a few breeds that don’t mind water as much as stereotypes might suggest. For example, the Turkish Van cat breed actually likes swimming and supposedly swam ashore after leaving Noah’s Ark. The Turkish Angora also likes water and swims in it.
Of course, for these handful of cat breeds that like water, there are plenty of other cats that don’t like it. So don’t expect your cat to like water just because some obscure cat breed happens to like it. Every cat is different and always just different enough to be a pain in the neck for your particular lifestyle.
