Many people take their dogs with them while jogging, bicycling, or even surfing. However, few people ever think of taking their pets on wilder excursions and many cat owners can’t even get their cats to go outside at all. That’s not a problem for Craig Armstrong and his cat Millie. Craig likes to go rock climbing and he’s training his cat Millie to come along with him.
For safety reasons, he’ll strap a harness on Millie and tie her to himself. He’ll also take Millie on gentle rocks to further reduce the risk of falling. “Millie clearly has zero fear of heights,” Craig said. “She’s walked precariously on cliff edges and jumped gaps from one boulder to another. Her balance is amazing, and she never seizes up in fear.”
