Just look at a map and you’ll notice that Canada is far to the north, which means in the winter time, it gets extremely cold. During a routine safety check, train conductor Brad Slater and engineer William Munsey found the stowaway feline hiding underneath the engine deck of a train.

The two of them estimated the feline may have been hiding in the train traveling from Winnipeg to Edmonton for about 12 hours.

“It’s just meant to be, it’s a miracle,” Slater said.

Fortunately the cat survived the bitter cold and the conductor is hoping to reunite the cat with its family. If not, he’s volunteered to keep the cat himself. Hopefully that means keeping the cat off the train as well.
