Most cats fear water because they can’t swim, yet that hasn’t stopped Max in Minnesota. Craig Reed of Forest Lake adopted Max back in 2010 and whenever Reed takes his paddle board out on the lake, Max goes along with him.
Reed estimates that the 10-year-old cat has been on the paddleboard more than 20 times. Once Max got used to being on water, he would sit on the paddleboard on the beach, waiting for a ride. Fortunately, Max has never fallen off the board.
If a cat can overcome its fear of water, imagine act humans could do if they overcome their own mental limitations? Rather than listen to motivational speakers, perhaps we should all just let a cat show us the way to a happier life.
