Many people think that cats are lazy and uncaring about their human owners. That’s not true. Cats don’t care about any humans. However, the latest study suggests that cats not only mimic human lifestyles, they also duplicate human habits.

A study published in January in the Journal of Veterinary Behavior suggests that pet cats take on human habits and adapt their lifestyles to those of their owners. The Italian study “shows how profoundly captivity can affect certain animals.”

That means if you live a sedentary lifestyle, your cat will likely duplicate that too. If you eat too much, your cat may mimic you and become obese as well. So behave carefully because your cat may be watching you closer than you might think.
