It’s no surprise that some cats can be territorial. As any cat lover knows, cats stake out their favorite spots around the house and defend it against all intruders, including their own owners.

In Maine, a similar territorial dispute arose, except this time it occurred outside on a pond, and the two combatants were a bald eagle and a cat. The cat apparently didn’t like the eagle walking across the ice of the pond and went up to confront the eagle. The eagle didn’t like the cat, but gave way and flew up in a tree to avoid fighting the cat.
