In cold parts of the world, outdoor cats must brave the cold weather. That’s why Missouri resident, Lindy Anderson, has decided to help out cats stuck in the cold. She’s making temporary shelters out of Styrofoam coolers, which she stuffed with straw and fitted with a cat-sized cutout entryway. Best of all, Anderson is giving the small shelters away for free.

By taking care of creatures who may not necessarily have the means to help themselves, Anderson is helping make the lives of cats just a little better in the winter. Hopefully the cats will be thankful and when the weather warms up, they’ll be able to enjoy the warm sunshine thanks to Anderson’s shelters that protected them during the winter.
