In Dubai, they received two years worth of rain in a single day. That caused flooding throughout the city where roads were flooded out and cars partially or completely submerged. A viral video even shows a flooded roadway with a partially submerged car where a cat desperately clings to a door handle to avoid being swept away by the water.
Fortunately, a rescue boat grabbed the cat and saved it from the flood waters. Hopefully the boat rescuers were able to save other stranded people and felines as well as the region deals with the worst flooding in years. This just proves that people all over the world in any culture can love and admire cats.
