Whenever an animal shelter takes in a cat, they hope they can find it a home as soon as possible. So when Fig was just a kitten, he got adopted by a family and the shelter assumed Fig had found a forever home.

Unfortunately, the family is now moving out of the country and are unable to take Fig with them. That means they had to return Fig back to the shelter he originally came from. Now the shelter is hoping a new family will adopt Fig.

Since older cats are less likely to be adopted, consider adopting an older cat if you have a chance. Older cats can make great companions and adopting an older cat will help clear out the shelters while making a cat happy, which is what life is all about anyway.
